We encourage everyone to book experiences because we love to see the smile on their face when someone first experiences the magic of glass.
Gather a little glass on the pipe, add some breath to form a bubble, add colored crystals, shape it, add heat and perhaps some fire, and create your piece of glass art. That is the experience of a lifetime. Prices are based on the forms and the number of pieces made, not the number of people making them.
We also offer Seasonal Glassblowing Experiences as well as Celebration of Life Experiences. There is always something fun to make!
We love to help you celebrate the important moments of your life. We can host a hands-on event, a catered dinner, a cocktail party or just some hands-on glass making experiences. We offer Birthday Ornaments, Unity Glass (Wedding pieces), and Remembrance Glass (cremains of your pet or loved one). Whatever the occasion we are here to assist.
Let’s celebrate the season together! During the Fall we love pumpkins, for Winter it is snowmen and ornaments, in the Spring its flowers, mushrooms, and umbrellas, in the summer we love jellyfish! You get the idea there is always something new to make at the studio.
Back by popular demand, Date Nights!! Come have a unique Date night with us on Thursday and Friday nights from 5pm – 9pm. Sign up for your spot to bring that special someone out to have fun and make beautiful glass together!
Looking for something a little slower-paced? Don’t want to be quite so hot? Glassblowing Houston offers several project-based kiln-forming workshops. Small group projects are available and can be scheduled with no glass experience. Have an idea you would like to create? You can help design a workshop to make your idea in several hours or weeks. We also offer fundamentals-based curricula in kiln-forming.
In all of these, you will work with the glass in its solid state. You will utilize various glass types to create your design. The assembled work goes into a kiln, where it is fired over a 12-hour cycle to fuse the layers.
The kiln-forming studio at Glassblowing Houston uses and teaches exclusively with Oceanside COE96 glass.
